Daniel Peter "Dan" O'Herlihy (May 1, 1919 – February 17, 2005) was an Irish-born[1] film actor,[2] known for such roles as Brigadier General Warren A. "Blackie" Black in Fail Safe, Conal Cochran in Halloween III: Season of the Witch, "The Old Man" in RoboCop, and Andrew Packard in Twin Peaks.[3] He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 1954 film, Adventures of Robinson Crusoe.
"I Sing the Body Electric" is a poem by Walt Whitman from his 1855 collection Leaves of Grass.
Its original publication, like the other poems in Leaves of Grass, did not have a title. In fact, the line "I sing the body electric" was not added until the 1867 edition. At the time, "electric" was not yet a commonly used term.
