The benchmark index of the Egyptian stock exchange rises in the closing session of the trading week.
STORY-LINE:
At the closing session of the trading week, the Egyptian stock market's benchmark index, EGX 30, is rising.
The index opened Thursday's session at 13,793 points and climbed to 13,840 points by 12:00 GMT.
EGX 30 rose by around 0.31 percent during the session.
The increase is supported by purchases made by Arab and foreign financial institutions, says dealer Tamer Hussein.
On the other hand, Egyptian institutions were selling, according to Hussein.
