Tim Farron MP mentioned our work on improving the standard of housing, making homes warmer and cheaper to heat, and tackling the climate crisis.
He explained how with a higher proportion of solid wall buildings, many of which are listed or in conservation areas and also off the gas grid, that it was important that the ECO4 and ECO+ schemes accounted for these types of homes.
He told the debate how to avoid a build up of moisture, solid wall properties needed insulating with insulated lime, cork board, or timber fibre board but that none of those materials are available through the ECO4 scheme, and it was at this point that a mouse popped up to listen in!
