Lively and accessible academic perspectives are essential in helping us to understand how far our communities have come, and how far we still need to go. The annual LGBTQ2S+ Lecture continues to play this important role by welcoming internationally renowned LGBTQ2S+ scholars, artists and activists to our city.

Launched in 2019, the CIH LGBTQ2S+ Lecture Series provides an open, free and accessible forum to discuss issues of vital importance to the LGBTQ2S+ community. This lecture brings an academic perspective to Calgary’s Pride Week and is a key component in UCalgary’s commitment to issues of diversity and inclusion and promoting these values in the communities we serve.
