The Etude No. 12 by Angelo Gilardino, recorded a few years ago, was part of a project proposed by my friend, Maestro Giulio Tampalini. Together with other colleagues, we created a heartfelt tribute to the composer, with each artist contributing to the complete recording of his works.
The recording you hear was captured in one take, using just an iPhone, and in the presence of my students in Klagenfurt, where I was also a professor at the time. The record button was pressed by Tim, a talented guitarist and painter from Slovenia—a moment you can catch just before the first note begins.
