Eli gives dog a lift in Michael Storer's Quick Canoe 155 solo prototype while running Big Falls near McCoy, VA, on the New River.
This boat was not designed for such use. It is also not a production design. The designer, Michael Storer (Boatmik), has published plans for excellent sail boats which are more appropriate, as well as a beamier version of the Quick Canoe which is a more general purpose boat. This prototype was built to test some specific design issues. Specifically it probes the limits of stability for a canoe of this size.
