Loya Salami (Grand Salute), also known as Shahe ghayur-o-mehrabane ma (Our Brave and Noble King) was the national anthem of the Kingdom of Afghanistan from 1943 to 1973. In 1943 during the reign of Mohammed Zahir Shah, the national anthem was adopted, and replaced the first national anthem without a title and a text. Because of the relationship to the king, it was replaced after his overthrow in 1973.
