The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park was founded in 1893 and is one of the oldest zoos in the country. They are proud to be accredited with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
They feature 24 SPECIES OF CROCODILIANS- from all over the world: Komodo Dragon, King Cobra & Cassowaries.
No passport is necessary to see the rare reptiles from Africa, Asia and the Americans.
1. LAND OF CROCODILES- St Augustine Alligator Farm boasts the first Indian Gharial breeding outside of its native range.
2. MAXIMO- the largest animal at the farm, a saltwater crocodile from Australia
3. FOSSIL DISCOVERIES- Dig deeper into the history of Crocodilians and compare their immense size of extinct species with their surviving cousins at the fossil exhibit
4. REALM OF THE SALTIE- See the impressive list of birds and reptiles from other side of the world like KOMODO DRAGON- the largest living lizard, and the SOUTHERN CASSOWARY- our planet’s most dangerous bird.
5. LEMURS OF MADAGASCAR- Catch this endangered species enjoying their favorite activities
6. BIRDS OF AFRICA- Watch graceful WEST AFRICAN crowned Cranes. MARABOU STORKS and CAFE GRIFFON VULTURES, they have wingspans over 8ft wide
7. ALBINO ALLIGATORS- Out of the bayouts of Louisiana come these rare and mystical creature
8. SLOTH LANDING- they are fury, fascinating and fun!
9. GOMEK FOREVER- one of the largest crocodilians ever on display at a massive size of nearly 18ft long and almost 2000 pounds.
10. OASIS OF THE NILE- Egyptian themed habitat, check out Egyptian artifacts and replicas of famous antiques
