We are witnessing UN Global Road Safety Week from 17th
-23rd May with a vision of encouraging policymakers to act for
low speed Streets worldwide limiting speeds to 30 km/h (20
mph) speed limits where people and traffic mix make for streets
that are healthy, green and liveable, in other words, streets for
life. IRSC also had the privilege to participate in UNGRSW in
2019. This year we took an initiative from our end to promote
road safety and we have speaker Mrs Prerana Arora Singh
who will be sharing her thoughts on global issues in Road
safety.
Coming to our Speaker for today Mrs Prerana Arora Singh,
Chief Excecutive officer for People’s Trust Consultant in
domain of Road Safety and Post Crash Care. She is also
Board member of Global alliance of NGO’s for Road Safety,
Switzerland..
Being a Road Safety and Post Crash Care Expert, she has
handled various government and non-governmental projects
including: capacity building programmes, national awareness
campaigns such as Helmet and Seat Belt Advocacy, Scientific
crash investigation training, teachers training on Road Safety,
black spot studies, etc., at PAN INDIA level. She provides
consulting services to Asian Development Bank and World
Bank supported projects in India. She is doing PhD in Road
Safety Management from Banasthali University Rajasthan,
India.
