Ear Candling as a therapy goes back thousands of years dating back through many customs such as the Aztecs, Greeks, Romans, Aborigines, Egyptians and the American Indians. In my clinic, I have given the hopi ear candling therapy with great effect to children and adults for a multitude of reasons including deafness, tinnitus, recurrent colds and infections, dizziness, headaches and migraines.

There are a number of contra-indications which would prevent certain people from having a treatment and the list here is by no means exhaustive, so please do consult your doctor or therapist to determine the best course of action for any ailment.
Possible Contra-Indications:
Perforated eardrum, ear grommets or tubes, eczema or dermatitis in the outer ear, cochlear implant, current or recent infection in the outer ear, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, acute infectious disease, high temperature, fever, heavy cold, diarrhoea, vomiting, recent head or neck injury and skin or scalp infection. Some caution may be required in the case of allergy, pregnancy, low or high blood pressure, toothache, epilepsy and nervous system disorder.
