We bought a Heater Power Alley 22' Home Batting Cage after looking around and weighing options, despite some initial concerns and questions, we are happy with the choice and it is working for us. I had recently purchased a pitching machine and didn't want to keep shagging balls all over the yard and up and down the street. We got the cage for around $200. We we're trying to figure out if it was big enough and would do what we wanted, there is plenty of inside space for swinging, we wanted around 40' of pitch and the cage is only 22', and you loose even more since you don't stand on the edge. We though about building something but that started looking way more complex and expensive than we were looking for. In the end, the solution for the batting cage length was easy, we just lifted the end so the machine could be set further away and throw balls in through the opening and it works great. Sure the occasional ball get's hit out but it doesn't make it far and it is way better than each ball getting hit to all kinds of places and having to round them up. We're hitting foam baseballs, no complaints yet, I would say this was a good purchase, it was fairly inexpensive and easy to put together and does what we wanted it to do.
