Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced Australia’s official terror alert has been raised from “possible to probable”.
Mr Albanese has reassured Australian’s the increase does not suggest any intelligence of an imminent attack.
ASIO advised the government that the terror threat level needed to change because the “security environment is more volatile and more unpredictable”.
