Kix hosted its first Maker Day event and it was a blast—and not just because water-bottle-rockets were being launched toward the ceiling. Four creativity partners joined us—Makers Guild, Play from Scratch, Leonardo's Basement and Make Magazine—each bringing hands-on art and science projects that jump-started kids' brains and sent them home with even more ideas for fun projects. The event filled a giant room with dozens of kids of all ages plus their parents, all excited to make projects using LED lights, felt, cardboard connectors, and reclaimed "junk."
