How to change signal fire fusion splicer electrode ?
Electrode replacement: when fiber fuse splicer remind you to replace the electrode(Remaining usage is less than 200) or electrode damaged by the external damage, we should replace the electrode.
Prepare tools: cross screwdriver + tweezers
1、Squeeze the cover above the electrode and pull up, then you can see the red light and we need remove the red light by tweezers (notice that red light was fixed by hot melt glue, if it’s hard to remove the red light, prepare a little alcohol to soak it).
2、after put the red light aside(No need to pull out). use the cross screwdriver to loosen the screw above the electrode, on the other side there is a pin in the groove, use the tweezers or screwdriver to top out electrode, then it’s easy take the electrode out.the Copper Pin need use again, Please note that there is a copper Pin with dual notch, and the wide notch should face to the electrode.
3、After replace the new electrode, plug in the notch, then place the electrode into the right place(the notch should plug into the groove of the electrode base. ) then tighten the screws and put back the red light(if the red light is loosen, doesn’t matter, just put it back into socket), then insert the cover on, the same operate of the another electrode.
4、Renew the electrode through the app, if there is no problem, then we can normally use it.
