For my my subscriber Deb who shares my passion for Italian food, this is a much needed recipe for us who need to change up the purée phase.
RICOTTA BAKE RECIPE
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of Italian seasonings
1 tablespoon of parsley flakes
1 egg (can be substituted with a half cup of egg whites)
8 oz ricotta cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup grated parmigiana cheese
1/2 cup of marinara sauce Or your favorite sauce. Home made, from the jar, whatever. We’re HUNGRY 😉
Combine your Parmesan, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese in a bowl with your egg and seasonings. mix together well then put in a 4 x 10 baking dish or pan coated with a nonstick spray of your choice. Add your marinara sauce to top but Do not mix in. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Take out of the oven and add your mozzarella cheese and bake for another three minutes. For best results set your oven to low broil for those three minutes if you’d like a nice crunchy mozzarella top. ❤️👍
