Launching a product on Amazon in 2024 is almost certainly going to require a loss leading period. During the first few weeks of launch, you will need to spend a lot of money on Amazon sponsored ads (PPC) while also selling at a reduced price.
Lower priced products convert better, so this reduction in sales price is often offset by savings on PPC due to a shorter ranking period and lower PPC spend per sale.
Combining PPC with a low sales price will lead to a high sales velocity, this will help your product to outsell and outrank the existing competition.
The goal of any launch is to get your product ranked as high as possible in the Amazon search results. Your organic positions will decide the fate of your product, without good organic positions it is almost impossible to make money selling on Amazon.
