Kenya is getting ready to host the China trade week for the second year in a row later this month. The event promises to bring together over 400 Chinese companies from various industry sectors such as building and construction, lighting, consumer electronics, stationery and jewellery. The event is aimed at providing Chinese companies with an opportunity to meet and develop trading and business partnerships with entrepreneurs from Kenya as well as the region. Over the last decade, China has grown to become Kenya's largest source of foreign direct investment with cumulative investment reaching 474 million dollars in 2013.
