Food security in Sudan remains fragile due to an ongoing combination of conflict, drought and high food prices. Transported from Houston to Port Sudan by the 'Liberty Glory', 47, 250 metric tonnes of sorghum (a type of cereal crop) is delivered by WFP in partnership with US Aid. This life-saving food will be distributed to Darfur and the surrounding regions to support those affected by the conflict.
