Execution of Irma Grese named " Hyena of Auschwitz " or "Beautiful Beast" after being tried at Bergen Belsen Trial after World War 2. Irma Gresse was born on 7 October, 1923 and was one of five children. in 1936 ,when she was 13, her mother committed suicide after learning that her husband was cheating on her.
According to Irma's sister Helene, Irma Grese was bullied badly at school and left school when she was just 15. When she was 18, she volunteered for the Ravensbrück concentration camp where she was trained for her future career in concentration camps. From there her footsteps went straight to Auschwitz in 1943...
Her nickname was " the Hyena of Auschwitz" and she was sentenced to death by hanging at the Belsen trial together with Josef Kramer, her previous boss, and other Nazi war criminals.
Her executioner was Albert Pierrepoint, a famous English hangman.
