A navigation profile is a feature in the ALV Grid Control that can be used to add additional functions and transactions to the application toolbar or context menus of an ALV Grid Control.

Navigation profiles can be user-dependent or user-independent. It is even possible to transport navigation profiles.

The navigation profile can be accessed via the corresponding button in the application toolbar of the ALV Grid Control. Navigation profiles can be managed using the transaction NAVP_MANAGE.

In this video, I will explain in detail what a navigation profile is in the SAP system, what functions it has, what kind of authorization object is needed to work with navigation profiles in the ALV Grid Control, and how to add a navigation profile in the ALV Grid Control in ABAP.
