France led the way in weapons innovation during the late 19th century. Many countries sped up research in weapons and ramped up production, and soon, war were declared. One of the rifles that a French Infantry Soldier would have had was the Berthier Mle 1907/15. This rifle was quickly becoming outdated though, but nonetheless, a French Soldier had to rely on it for survival during World War One. This song pays homage to the French military as they faced great fears including gas attacks, artillery barrages, and enemy machine gun fire.
