Current Situation: High pressure is ridging through the north Atlantic with low pressure over Scandinavia. As a result northerly winds are pushing southwards...
Today:
Thursday begins with clear spells and variable cloud. Most places are dry but there are a few showers across northern Scotland.
Through the rest of the day showers will become heavy across northern and eastern Scotland as well as north east England. The rest of the country will stay dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. Temperatures will be cooler at 13C to 20C.
Tonight:
Showers will run down the north sea and pepper eastern coasts but most places will be dry with clear spells and variable cloud. It will be a cold night in the north with temperatures of 3C to 7C and even in the south it will be a significantly cooler night than recently at 9C to 12C.
Tomorrow:
More showers, some of them heavy running down the east coast but the majority of the country will stay dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. A cool day with temperatures of 12C to 18C.
Outlook:
Saturday: Mostly dry and bright but cool especially early and late.
Sunday: Showers in the east moving in-land but many places staying dry with bright spells. Cool.
Monday: Patchy rain for Scotland but dry elsewhere. Slightly warmer in the south.
