Today we take a look at a wonderful traditional German work knife from Robert Klaas Solingen. The 2 Rivet Work knife is the Robert Klaas version of the German rivet knife. With a blade length of under 3 inches this knife offeres to be the only German rivet knife that is UK Legal!
Here is a direct link to the knife shown:

This 2 rivet is covered in bubinga wood and it features a C45 carbon steel blade. The overall fit and finish on this offering from Robert Klaas is pretty good. with the exception of the back spring being a little gappy, the fit and finish on the Klass 2 rivet is pretty good. The knife also gives the user a really great action. I would say the pull weight is a 7.5-8 and it is smooth and consistant all throughout the opening.
I also take some time in this video to compare it to the Otter-Messer 3 rivet knife. these two knives being the only German rivet knives that are available for purchace; I thought it would be fun to compare these two great Solingen pocket knives.
The Otter 3 rivet is a bigger and thicker knife. I has c75 carbon steel and is available if a few different finishes and blade steels. The Klaas 2 rivet is smaller and thinner. It features C45 carbon steel and is only available in this configuration with the bubinga wood and brass.
Overall I am very happy with my Robert Klaas 2 rivet work knife. I hope you enjoyed my video. Don't forget to like this video, leave me a comment, subscribe and have a great day.
