As the North East Link Project edges closer to tunnelling, the Lower Plenty Road site is achieving remarkable progress with box excavation for the on and off ramps and Borlase Reserve once tunnelling is complete.
Meanwhile, in Manningham and Trinity, preparations are underway for the arrival of five roadheaders that will tunnel between the two sites.
Additionally, significant works on the Yarra Link Green Bridge are ongoing, with retaining walls constructed last month.
Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture is delivering the North East Link tunnels for the Victorian government. The project will enable a more sustainable future by taking 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reducing travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.
