If you take a trip on Shiras Avenue, you'll notice the street got a facelift from the City's public works department as part of the asphalt overlay program. The program has a goal to improve more than 10 centerline miles on 44 city streets this construction season. The public works department is prioritizing streets that would benefit from an asphalt overlay to extend the life of the existing pavement, making their way around Dubuque to improve our infrastructure.
