Under the banner of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), farmers are intensifying their protests to press for their long-pending demands. On Monday, thousands of farmers will march from Noida’s Mahamaya Flyover to Delhi. Key demands include fourfold compensation under a model similar to Gorakhpur, benefits under the Land Acquisition Act, and allocation of 10% developed plots. Previously, farmers staged a four-day sit-in outside the Yamuna Authority office, but their demands were ignored. They are now preparing for a larger protest by marching to Parliament in Delhi.
