To hit streamer fishing on Lake Taneycomo with success I would say the prime month is in October when the brown trout are migrating upstream to start the spawn. The other month that I have had real good luck is April.
North Fork of the White has some stellar streamer fishing for browns. The key to success is hitting this river in the winter months starting in November through February. Almost every time I fish articulated streamers I have the opportunity to catch a brown over 22 inches fishing the lower stretch to Dawt Mill.
