Paints: Use a good quality craft acrylic paint, if your paint is runny or seems thin, it won't perform as well as paints that have body and are not thin.

0:00 - Intro
0:07 - Supplies
0:16 - Basecoating, staining
0:40 - Layer white paint over stain
1:15 - use blow dryer to get final coat warm
1:20 - quickly go in with 120 grit sandpaper on edges to achieve distressing
1:30 - line up stencil to surface and tape down
1:38 - Load your brush and wipe all excess paint onto a paper towel
1:48 - work in layers to achieve the opacity of paint that you desire, light layers help prevent bleeding under your stencil edges
2:25 - to have a more textured look, use a natural sponge and dab the toffee stain onto your piece, just a few blotches here and there
2:34 - dry, lightly sand, and finish with a coat of wax
