There has been a number of government commitments both nationally and internationally when it comes to implementation of CSE in schools. However, the government has been slow in its actualization. One of the major reasons being that there is a lot of misconceptions/misinformation around CSE. The most commonly used propaganda is that it teaches young people how to have sex and leads to early sexual activity, it’s about abortion and LGBTQ issues among others. These propaganda is believed by the relevant stakeholders; including parents, making it almost impossible to fully implement CSE in schools.

TICAH in partnership with PVI has created a short animation to help demystify CSE, giving the larger public factual information around CSE and the benefits of having our children have this information. The animation is in the analogy of teaching our children to cross the road and how important that is/then comparing this to CSE which is equally important because it helps us prevent our children from making unhealthy sexual choices. We believe that this will shift the attitudes around CSE; making the targeted stakeholders join in advocating for it’s implementation. The animation will be shared on all social media platforms; and if possible, mainstream media to spread this information and create the desired impact.
