Baroreflex Activation Therapy (BAT) is delivered through Barostim, an implantable pulse generator (IPG). Barostim rebalances the autonomic nervous system by delivering continuous electrical stimulation to carotid baroreceptors, improving heart failure symptoms.

Barostim is an option to improve exercise capacity in the 70% of patients not indicated for CRT.
