Opposition Leader Peter Dutton insists his nuclear energy plan will achieve a “cost reduction” in energy prices for Australians.
“At the next election, people can vote for higher electricity prices under Anthony Albanese, or they can vote for the system where we won’t have blackouts, where we’ll have consistency of power … we’ll have cheaper cost electricity,” Mr Dutton said during a press conference on Friday.
“I don’t make any mistake at all for making very clear to Australian people that our priority is to bring their power prices down.
“We have looked at the mix, and the mix will be about how we achieve that cost reduction.”
