​ @Dean_Trips vacations in Bali with his family and visits the island Nusa Penida, just east of the main island of Bali, Indonesia in July of 2023. Dean, Julia and Isabele take the ferry from Sanur to Nusa Penida and then stay at the Ped Cottage. The first evening is spent at one of the best places to catch the sunset, Crystal Bay Beach. Dean and his family arrange a driver to take them to Crystal Bay, which is easily accessible as there are no steep steps and treacherous paths to negotiate to get down to the beach like some other spots on Nusa Penida. Beach umbrellas and chairs can be rented and there are some food options. The beach itself is not as rough as it was the day we visited. It does have quite a few rocks, so use caution entering the water. Dean ventures up steps on the far side of the beach which leads to a path up and over to a smaller cove, called Pandan Beach where there was almost no one else.
