Deputies are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a petit theft and vandalism suspect.
On Sunday, July 9, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m. a petit theft and vandalism occurred at the Islamic Society of North Pinellas, 1218 New York Avenue, Dunedin.
The Suspect entered the mosque and appears to participate in prayer. Once all members exit the mosque, he utilized an unknown tool to enter five donation boxes stealing an unknown amount of money. The suspect left the area in a silver four door sedan.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned male with short dark hair and a thin beard. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a dark colored t-shirt, and appeared to have a stabilizing bandage on his right forearm and hand.
