Mutla Ridge is Kuwait's only hilly desert terrain – at more than 300m high, it offers a wonderful view of the full expanse of Kuwait Bay.
The highest point in Kuwait, standing at 1,004 feet ( 306 meters) high. During the Gulf War, the Iraq forces planned to launch bombs while they were on the ridge to threaten Saudi Arabia. Coalition forces later used the rocky outcroppings for communication towers.
