Krishna River Management Board , the apex body constituted for the purpose of distribution of waters between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, doesn’t seem to have a clue on how to end the fresh controversy over utilisation of available water at the Nagarjunasagar Dam claimed by both states.Both Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh separately have requisitioned to KRMB that they want almost the entire 90 TMC ft of water available at Nagarjunasagar to meet their late Kharif and Rabi crop requirements. Meeting the requirement of both states, given the limited live storage available at the dam, is impossible.
