I was lucky to be a gig promoter at the start of Punk in London in 1977. I saw and put on shows with the likes of the Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, 999, Boomtown Rats, Adverts, Ultravox, and many, many more.
At the time, London was literally overflowing with live music. You could see just about any style you wanted and Punk and New Wave came along like a and boxed the ears of London's gig-going public.
