Ducom four ball tester is designed to characterize wear preventive (WP), extreme pressure (EP), frictional and fatigue properties of lubricants. Lubricant under test is characterized by measuring the wear scar diameter on the balls after the test and evaluating the load at which the lubricant fails and the four balls weld together.
