This was an unexpected surprise during my visit to Rugby. Wrexham & Shropshire Class 67 013 hauls its rake of Mk3's (3 of which are in Cargo D Livery) out of Rugby after letting a Pendolino overtake. It was on a diverted service from Wrexham General to London Marylebone due to engineering works on the Chiltern Main Line.
On the rear of the train was DVT Class 82 304 which used to be numbered 82 130 and used with Virgin. It has been rewired so it can now only work with Class 67 Locomotives. With all of the Pendolino's in service this is a rare sight of Locomotive haulage on the West Coast Main Line but you can still see the Pretendolino which is Virgin's last remaining Mk3 Rake in Pendolino style livery.
I hope you enjoy seeing this unexpected visitor to Rugby Station.
