The first Component Field Test of the SYNERGISE project, held in Athens, Greece (November 19–21, 2024), was a major step in advancing disaster response technologies. This event gathered first responders, technical partners and observers to test innovative solutions for enhancing safety and coordination in scenarios imitating collapsed buildings and large-scale explosions.

Key technologies evaluated included:
- SYSNAV Localization Devices: Precise tracking in complex environments.
- Wearin’ Health Sensors: Monitoring first responder well-being.
- ETRI Field Communication Tools: Private 5G networks for robust connectivity.
- ASTRIAL Satellite Systems: Ensuring communication in remote areas.

The involvement of international responders and observers, including Iraqi delegations, emphasized global collaboration. With critical data and feedback collected, CFT1 demonstrated the potential of SYNERGISE technologies in real-world disaster scenarios, paving the way for future tests and innovations.

The project is jointly funded from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme; State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation from Switzerland; the Japan Science and Technology Agency; the Korea Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute. The project started on 1st September 2023 will and run until 28th February 2027.
