A bipartisan group of US Senators has announced an agreement on new gun legislation in response to last month's mass shootings.
The reform currently appears to have the backing of 10 Democrats and 10 Republicans.
The centrepiece of the proposed deal would provide resources for individual states to implement 'red flag' laws.
The agreement also includes more rigorous background checks for those aged between 18 and 21-years-old.
