Hi friends, today we are making a south of Iran dish called Dal Adas (Red Lentil Soup), which is borrowed from the Indian dish Masoor Dal (dhal or daal).
I enjoy this food, it's a one-pot dish, easy to make and you can eat it in a number of ways.
It is also vegan if you substitute oil for Ghee that I use here.
(apologize for the minor sound issue, our main mic turned off for a bit, but we turned it on as soon as we noticed)
Ingredients List:
• 2 Cups of Red Lentils
• 3 Cloves of Garlic (you can add much more if you like)
• 1 Onion
• 1 Tablespoon Grated Ginger
• Chili of choice (optional - I didn't use it here)
• 2 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
• 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chili Pepper
• 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
• 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
• 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
• 1/2 Teaspoon Curry Powder
• 1-2 Tablespoons Rice Flour (optional)
