Floating Minnows: Widely available in the USA but, many that are available do not fish well in streams. They are either too light or, their shape causes them to spin in the fast current. Lures like the Dr. Minnow by Daiwa and the Hardcore 50F by Duel are great options to fish floating lures. Floating lures can fish fished very slow as a topwater pooper or wakebait and also aggressively in a fast twitching motion. Often overlooked because they do not cast as far as the heavier lures, floating lures can produce bites when sinking and suspending lures cannot.
