Sabari Nair of Panasonic visited our booth at Embedded World 2019 to talk about the PAN4620 demonstration which utilised an NXP chip and was running on a mesh network.
It was a multi-protocol module which runs either Thread, ZigBee or Bluetooth network protocols. Thread is a new protocol which has been introduced by Google Nest and the primary applications are in the Smart Home. However, the architecture can be layered which means the application possibilities are endless.
The PAN4620 Daughterboard enables quick prototyping and Software Testing. The sticks have a USB to UART converter and allow access to the module pins.
