(24 May 2017) A neighbour of Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi said on Wednesday that he seemed like a normal lad who used to play football with his brother.
Neville Edwards said there had never been any indication that Abedi had been radicalised and expressed concern that he had been able to "live under the radar" for so long.
Police officers were stationed outside Abedi's home on Wednesday and were also searching a house at 18 Aston Avenue, a ten minute walk away, where a man was arrested earlier in the day.
Omar Alfa Khuri, who lives across the street, said he was awakened at 2:30 AM (01:30 GMT) by a loud noise and saw police take away the father of the family that lives there in handcuffs.
He said the man is named Adel and is in his 40s, with a wife and several children.
Khuri said he knew the man from the neighbourhood and Didsbury mosque.
He said he immediately suspected the arrest might be linked to the bombing.
