I have been wanting and needing a chop saw for some time now. Leading up to this, I have been using the death wheel to make all my cuts which were never clean cut or perfectly square. Because I have a new chassis I will be building completely out of DOM tubing, I decided it was time to purchase a cold cut chop saw.
I wanted a cold cut mostly because it will not make a smoky and hazardous atmosphere inside the air conditioned shop. I have been looking hard at the Evolution brand saws but could not bring myself to drop close to $400 Bucks for a saw.
After some good luck with the VEVOR tools, I stumbled across this 14" cold cut chop saw offered on Amazon for just $240 Bucks. This was more in my price range and not something I would loose sleep on. After all, I am just a hobbyist.
After using this machine for a few months now, I have no complaints. The blade is still super sharp and still making my life easier in the garage and most importantly, increasing my level of work.
