In this video I compare two 10" (254mm) aperture telescopes of two types, Dobsonian and Schmidt-Cassegrain. These are two very different types of telescopes and I'll tell you all about the differences and show you how they compare by looking at various objects in the night sky with each-- a tight double star, some planets, some Messier Objects, and some faint deep sky objects. Then at the end I'll tell you my final thoughts about both telescopes. I chose 10" aperture simply because I own a 10" Dobsonian and a 10" Schmdit-Cassegrain telescope but the general descriptions of both would apply to other sizes.
