Tappa is a very critical form of semi classical genre of Indian vocal music. It has some special alankars which needs proper voice delivery technique to execute.
Here, Sri Subhashish Mukhopadhyay describes the secret of that technique of voice throwing, to perform Tappa's main feature which is called Dana in musical language.
The TapKheyal (Ab koun bahana) he sang here to give an example of Punjabi Tappa's Dana, is originally created by his illustrated Guru Pandit Manas Chakraborty.
