Durga Suktam is very much different than the Durga Chalisa
This is a prayer to the Fire God Agni – Fire of Durga mentioned in the MahaNarayana Upanishad. It helps in removing materialistic problems that a normal human mind cannot resolve.
To that Jataveda (one from whom the Vedas are born) we pray to Soma and invoke her ardently which can free us from the bondage of the world.
