An African Folktale about a king who received a disastrous prophecy at the birth of his prince. He tried getting the innocent baby killed just to avert the prophecy but his actions only made the prophecy a reality.
The prophecy was just a test from the divinities for the King, a test he failed woefully so the divinities were displeased with the way he handled the prophesy; why make a command to kill an innocent newborn baby?
The divinities are wise, it was a test of bravery, humanity and faith; the divinities are not to blame.
