VMware Telco Cloud Platform RAN is a cloud native hypervisor platform optimized for RAN workloads. Integrated with RAN implementations inspired by Intel FlexRAN software architecture and executing on Intel Xeon processors, an XL800 NIC, and an ACC100 forward error correction accelerator, it includes all RAN-specific features, such as Precision Time Protocol (PTP) over virtual function. Further, the platform enables access to leading-edge features in Intel Silicon, such as Xeon Cache Allocation Technology and Dynamic Device Personalization in the NIC.
